OUR STORY

Random Curiosity

Starting with a minimal curious question, 'Soil is the base support for crops, but what if farmers are completely unaware of this overlooked factor?

Our FOUNDER

It was the point when Mr. Dhruv Sachdeva, CEO Sasyam started dwelling upon the current status of knowledge about soil health among farmers.

Initiation

On receiving shocking results based on his survey where merely 3 out of every 10 farmers were aware of soil health, it lead to upbringing a new initiative 'SASYAM' to tackle the real life on field problems.

Formation

Starting as a small reflection of concern, through our continuous efforts and work ethics we are now connected to several rural agriculturists forming a bond of trust and reliance.

"Being a volunteer with Sasyam Foundation has truly been an enriching and transformative experience. The journey offered me the opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow in ways I hadn’t imagined. From being part of organizing a national-level conference that brought together brilliant minds from across the country, to interacting directly with farmers and helping disseminate knowledge about innovative agricultural technologies and sustainable practices — every moment has been inspiring. This experience not only deepened my understanding of grassroots agricultural challenges but also strengthened my commitment to bridging the gap between science and society. Volunteering with Sasyam Foundation has been a journey of purpose, learning, and meaningful impact."

"From the very beginning, when I gave my interview for the Sasyam Foundation, I was genuinely curious and deeply interested in being a part of it. What excited me the most was the opportunity to work directly with farmers and to experience real agriculture beyond textbooks and exams. Being a part of the Sasyam Foundation keeps me closely connected to my field agriculture. Each day brings new learning through stories, newsletters, and fieldwork. Every experience feels fresh and enriching. It’s truly fulfilling to witness farmers finding solutions to even their most basic agricultural challenges. Looking back, I can confidently say that joining the Sasyam Foundation has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made."

Founder's Note
CEO
Mr. Dhruv Sachdeva

"The future of our planet lies in the hands that till its soil." Sasyam Society was founded to address the pressing challenges in Indian agriculture—declining soil health, rising input costs, climate change, and loss of traditional farming wisdom. As an agriculture student, I started Sasyam to make farming climate-resilient and economically viable. Our mission: restore soil vitality, reduce chemical use, and empower farmers with eco-friendly, science-backed practices. What makes Sasyam unique is its youth-led force—students and professionals from agriculture and veterinary fields working with farmers, not just for them. Sasyam is more than a society—it's a movement to revive farming dignity and rural livelihoods through empathy, knowledge, and youth action
